Parascending is an adventurous and exhilarating sport. In common with all air
sports it has an element of risk. Due to our carefully evolved training
programme injuries requiring more than first aid treatment are rare.
You should be in good health and be able to take a heavy landing. If you have
previously suffered any head or back injuries, suffer from faintness, dizziness
or fits, have a heart condition or are taking medication do not fly until you
have sought your doctor’s advice and talked to your instructor.
BHPA Membership
All Scouts flying at Sky High 2010 are covered by Unity, Scout Insurance
Services and are one-day members of the British Hang-gliding & Paragliding
Association (BHPA). BHPA membership provides 3rd party insurance cover.
You will be trained according to nationally established procedures that are
proven to be successful and which minimise the risk of injury. You must agree to
follow the directions of your instructor and abide by his/ her decisions.
